Artificial intelligence has a wide range of applications, and those working in marketing have found particularly notable uses for this type of technology.

While some might consider AI far too cutting-edge to be useful in an area as old-fashioned as email, a new study has revealed that one of the most effective ways to use AI in the Marketing in particular is using it to personalize emails that are about to be sent to customers.

The study referred to was conducted by Coresight Research and published by Persado. It is called Artificial Intelligence in the Service of Language: A New Era of Improving Customer Engagement, and consisted of a survey of marketing and business professionals on how they use AI to some extent. 77% of marketers said they use AI to personalize emails, making it the most popular use of AI that the marketing field can currently leverage, followed by AI Chatbots at 64 % of respondents said they use.

Another thing that the vast majority of marketing professionals seem to agree on is the fact that advanced technology has become more important than ever to their business. 78.2% of them agree that it does, with 44.2% citing facial and voice recognition, 43% personalized channel experiences, and 41.2% natural language processing and how which it could facilitate the creation of much better content overall. Less than 7% of marketers seem to think advanced technologies aren’t important, making them a minority.

74.5% of marketers believe that without AI, companies would not be able to sufficiently personalize the experience of their customers. This shows how revolutionary AI is, and machine learning is also an integral part of it, according to 53.9% of respondents. 86.1% of marketers also use first-party data to optimize their marketing campaigns, which could be associated with the complete lack of third-party data that they can now use after Apple’s new policies that have caused users to opt out of third-party tracking by default.
