750,000 Kodiaq – Škoda celebrates production anniversaries

The Czech automaker Škoda noted several achievements of products manufactured at the Kvasina and Mlad Boleslav plants, which are important not only for Škoda, but for the entire Volkswagen concern.

As reported by the Škoda press service, the 750,000th Kodiaq rolled off the assembly line of the Kvasina plant. Kodiaq is the largest Czech crossover, produced since 2016, undergoing modernization in 2021.

Two milestones were also achieved at Škoda’s main plant in Mlada Boleslav in November: the four millionth EA211 engine and the 15 millionth gearbox of the current generation were produced.

The EA211 is produced as a one-liter three-cylinder and as a four-cylinder engine with a displacement of 1.4 and 1.6 liters, also finding application in Audi, Volkswagen and Seat cars, as well as automatic and manual transmissions of the generation current, which is used for an equally large range of models in the German range.

Let’s add that Škoda has been part of the Volkswagen Group for 30 years, employs more than 45,000 workers worldwide and produced 870,000 new cars in 2021, offering them on the markets of over 100 countries around the world.

Currently, the Czech automaker offers a total of 12 models in Europe and the rest of the world: FABIA, RAPID, SCALA, OCTAVIA and SUPERB, as well as KAMIQ, KAROQ, KODIAQ, ENYAQ iV, ENYAQ COUPÉ iV, SLAVIA and KUSHAQ.
