The Astroworld festival seems to cause a serious financial hangover for the American rapper Travis Scott, who organized it. 125 victims have united and filed a complaint against him, as well as against Drake and other defendants. They are demanding damages totaling $750 million (662 million euros).
The victims and next of kin of the victims who attended the Astroworld festival in Houston, hosted by rapper Travis Scott and named after one of his records, are determined to seek compensation for the drama that transpired on November 5. Then panic broke out among the more than 50,000 people present because people were packed too closely and were pushed from behind, with a terrible result: ten people died and hundreds more were seriously injured.
125 of them have now united and filed charges against the organization. So against Travis Scott, but also against gastrapper Drake, Apple Music, Live Nation, Epic Records and other companies that wanted to capitalize on the organization of the festival. They are claiming a total of $750 million in damages.

According to the indictment, the victims suffered mental and physical damage at the festival due to “the gross negligence of organizers and performers”. “Not even a minimal effort was made to keep those in attendance safe,” it reads. Moreover, it is mentioned that Scott has a past full of violence, in which he has glorified it several times.
21-year-old victim
Among the parties that filed the complaint against Scott, Drake and other organizers are the next of kin of Axel Acosta. The 21-year-old man was one of ten people who died after sustaining injuries when panic broke out at the festival. “His death was unnecessary and the result of gross negligence,” attorney Tony Buzbee said in a statement People.
Acosta died after suffering a cardiac arrest when he was crushed and trampled among the thousands of festival-goers. “When Alex collapsed, he was trampled by people fighting not to get trampled themselves,” the complaint reads. “As he lay dying among a crowd of people, the music continued for nearly forty minutes. No effort was made by the organizers to save him.”
