A 75-year-old woman was found dead in a garden in Baden-Württemberg. The police suspect a violent crime and are urgently looking for witnesses.
On Tuesday evening, a 75-year-old woman was found dead in a garden between Schwaikheim and Winnenden (Baden-Württemberg). A family member discovered the body at around 7:30 p.m., police said. According to the officers’ initial findings, the woman may have died violently.
The criminal police immediately began investigations, supported by the Stuttgart public prosecutor’s office. A special commission called “Soko Garten” was set up and includes around 30 investigators. Forensic scientists and forensic medicine are involved.
The area surrounding the garden plot was searched for potential evidence. On Wednesday morning, 66 police officers supported the search process. The Baden-Württemberg State Office of Criminal Investigation is also helping with the investigation, it was said.
The investigators are urgently looking for witnesses who were in the extended area around the gardens on Tuesday between 2 p.m. and 7.30 p.m. In particular, information about suspicious people or vehicles is requested. The special task force is accepting information on 07151/950-333.
