75 climate activists from Extinction Rebels arrested after protests in Brussels

The activists were unable to put the letters on the wall of the building, because the police did not allow that.

When the demonstrators then wanted to march to the Wetstraat in parade, they were almost immediately stopped by the police. On the Pachecolaan, a few dozen activists were enclosed by police in riot uniform.

The activists were then given the choice to either write down their identities, leave their protest material and then leave, or stay and be arrested.

A large number of the protesters chose the first option and were dropped drop by drop, but 75 activists chose to be arrested. They will be presented with a GAS fine.
