The Ministry also indicated that 50 of the infected people were confirmed to have been diagnosed with botulism, indicating that 43 of them recovered and were discharged from the hospital, while 31 cases still in hospitals, including 20 in intensive care, while there was one death. .
She indicated that all the cases were linked to food poisoning “from one source,” without adding details.
The Municipality of Riyadh Province revealed in a statement, Friday, through their account of “X”, that the decision was made to close the laboratory of the facility responsible for poisoning cases.
She explained in a statement, “According to the number of recorded cases, administrative penalties were imposed, and the main laboratory of the food facility and all its branches in the cities of Riyadh and Al-Kharj will be closed for the legally agreed period, and all food items present in the main laboratory and the facility’s branches will be destroyed, while they monitor the process of cleaning and disinfecting all tools, equipment, etc.”
The Municipality of Riyadh confirmed “the safety of food products for restaurants, kitchens, cafes, and catering providers in the Riyadh region, as no case has been recorded from other than the source mentioned, and their inspection rounds are monitoring on commercial establishments from time to time. “
