740-strong station wagon ABT RS6-R introduced – Autoreview

The German company Abt Sportsline at the end of last year announced its own project on the basis of the latest Audi RS 6 Avant station wagon. Now it’s time to show the car in all its glory and talk about its characteristics. The design of the standard “ereski” has become even more aggressive due to the developed body kit, dual carbon fiber nozzles on the exhaust system nozzles, door sills, additional air ducts in the front wings, as well as 22-inch alloy wheels with a special design.

Of course, Abt specialists worked on the station wagon engine. If the standard V8 4.0 TFSI biturbo engine produces 600 hp and 800 Nm, the tuning model ABT RS6-R with its upgraded version produces an impressive 740 hp. and 920 Nm. As a result, the two-ton station wagon shoots up to “hundreds” in 3.2 s (0.4 s faster than the original car), and the maximum speed reaches 320 km / h against 305 km / h in the standard model with the optional dynamic plus package. In addition, more stringent air suspension settings have been applied.

A package of improvements by Abt Sportsline will cost 70 thousand euros, although a basic wagon Audi RS 6 Avant will have to pay a minimum of 117 thousand euros. So the price of the new ABT RS6-R model is approaching two hundred thousand euros – even without considering the expensive options. The company will finalize only 125 cars, and all of them will surely quickly find buyers.
