Customs officers seized some 720 kg of cannabis resin this weekend near Montauban, in a car abandoned by its occupants after a chase, we learned from the prosecution on Monday.
Saturday evening, around 11 p.m., the driver of this go-fast refused to stop at a customs officer check at the Montauban-Sud toll. Customs officers chased the car and managed to puncture the tires with a harrow.
Its occupants, who were probably two, said the prosecution, finally abandoned the car and fled. Customs officers then found some 720 kg of cannabis resin in the vehicle.
The occupants of the car are still being sought.
