In a nursing home in Leverkusen, Germany, 72 people were infected with a mutant virus from the UK-derived new coronavirus infection (Corona 19), killing 15 people.
A spokesman for the German city of Leverkusen said on the German ZDF broadcast on the 31st (local time) that “47 elderly people and 25 employees were infected at the nursing home center,” and 15 of them died.
In this nursing home, infection with the British mutant virus, B117 virus, has been confirmed.
Since the first confirmed mutant virus on December 28 last year, the infection has spread rapidly.
It was confirmed that the mutant virus was first introduced into the nursing home by a nursing home employee. The infection began on December 30 last year, before the first corona19 vaccine was given in nursing homes and nursing homes.
