A 71-year-old man was the victim of a violent robbery outside his Brooklyn home in broad daylight Thursday, New York City Police announced.
The authorities indicated that the duo of alleged thieves arrived at the residence located in East 88 Street and Seaview Avenuearound 5:00 pm Thursday, when one of the suspects pulled into the driveway just as the victim had just parked her truck.
In the middle of a brief confrontation, the man hit the victim in the face and tore the car keys from his hands, according to police. The entire exchange was caught on camera.
The suspects are seen on video getting into the car and speeding off. The victim sustained a minor facial injury but refused medical attention at the scene.
She added that the SUV was later found on Staten Island, but the license plates and personal items left inside the vehicle were missing.
Both suspects are described as between 18 and 20 years old.
