This fall, ten new celebrities had the chance to brush up on what is often referred to as “the coolest adventure of autumn”, the “71 degrees north”. The goal of the competition is to get the title of “Norway’s toughest celebrity” – and not least a brand new car.
This year’s participants are made up of athletes and TV profiles, artists and actors, all well-known faces.
With a well-known face often comes a relatively solid income, as many of the celebrities have many other projects underway besides their television participation. In addition, they are paid for participation in the program, but it is not known how much they get.

What is known, however, is how much celebrities from the “71 degrees North” have earned in the past. The tax lists for 2021 will not be published until December, but Nettavisen has had access to the tax lists for 2020. They have large income differences.

Two with a million admissions
It was Vegard Ylvisåker (43) who had the highest income among celebrities ’71 degrees north’ this year in 2020, according to tax data.
The beloved and popular brother Ylvis then earned NOK 4,098,927, almost exactly as much as the year before when he was listed with a total income of NOK 4,093,312.
The next man on the list, Dr. Kaveh Rashidi (34), had a big increase from 2019 to 2020.
While the 34-year-old had an income of NOK 2,712,595 in 2019, this increased by nearly a million to NOK 3,466,855 in 2020. In 2019, however, he had a fortune of just over four million crowns, while in 2020 it was zero.
Income doubled
Ylvisåker and Rashidi were the only participants this year to have a salary of one million in 2020. However, Jørgen Evensen (31) was not too far off, with an income of NOK 869,067 in the same year.
The highest-paid Ylvisåker, however, earned six times as much in 2020 as the fourth-highest-paid “71 degrees North” participant, artist Silje Halstensen (32) – known to many as Bendik.

The 32-year-old artist was listed with an income of NOK 681,809, double the previous year. However, two years ago he had also registered a fortune of NOK 881,122.
Fritz Aanes (44) earned NOK 533,592 in 2020, while Line presenter Andersen (49) was listed with an income of NOK 515,656. Aanes’ income was therefore roughly the same as in 2019, while Andersen’s decreased slightly from 734,972 a year earlier.
Aanes also had a fortune of around 500,000 in both years.
Fetisha Williams (28) went public with an income of NOK 433,040 two years ago. It was nearly double from the previous year, when she earned NOK 242,540. Williams has since become much more prominent on the TV screen, so her income has likely increased further since then. By the way she has participated in “Culinary Camp”, and now “71 degrees north”.

It was unknown in 2020
At the bottom of the 2020 income chart are Ida Njåtun (31), Christian Brennhovd (23) and Trine Lise Olsen (46).
Njåtun was then listed with an income of NOK 208,415, but the skating star’s fortune was at the same time NOK 780,271.
Olsen, on the other hand, was listed with an income of NOK 65,965 in 2020 and Brennhovd earned NOK 14,730 in the same year.
Brennhovd also made his reality debut in “Ex on the Beach” in 2020, and was a completely unknown name before he appeared on the television screen in the much-discussed program. Since then, the 23-year-old has appeared in several television productions and has built a solid following on social media, so the data for 2021 – which will now arrive in December – will likely show a higher number.
