A total of 321,613 Basques, which represents 25.1% of the Basque population over the age of 18, have received the second booster vaccine against covid-19 and 71.7% of them, a total of 106,865, have more than 80 years old, according to data collected in the covid-19 vaccination newsletter published this Monday by the Basque Department of Health.
According to these data, the Basque Health Service-Osakidetza has administered up to a total of 144,037 pediatric covid-19 vaccines, 1,074 more than a week ago.
Among the adult population, on the other hand, 5,044,340 covid vaccines were administered, between the first and second dose, as well as single and booster doses.
Without taking into account the booster dose, the rate with the full regimen exceeds 90% in all age groups, except for the 18-39 year old population (with an 87% rate among 30-39 year olds and of 86.7% between 18 and 29 years old).
Among the elderly, 94% of those over 90 years of age have full immunization, 97.6% of those aged 80 to 89, 96.6% of those aged 70 to 79, 95.6% of those aged 60 to 69 years old, 94.8% in the 50 to 59 year old group and 92.9% in the 40 to 49 year old group.
Of the people who had received the complete vaccination card, 99.4% of the over 90s received the first booster dose, 96.6% of the people between 80 and 89, 100% of the group between 70 and 79 years, 94% of 60 to 69 year olds, 83.5% of 50 to 59 year olds, 64.8% of 40 to 49 year olds, 46.5% of 30 to 39 year olds and 40 % of those aged 18 to 29 .
Similarly, 77.6% of people over 90, 70.1% of the 80-89 age group, 51.4% of people aged 70 to 79, 30% of the 60-69 age group, 6.1% in the 50-59 age group, 3.7% in the 40-49 age group, 3.5% in the 30-39 age group and 2.5% of 18-year-olds 29 years old.
