Ecuador received this Saturday 700,000 doses of the Sinovac vaccine against covid-19, of which 200,000 correspond to a donation and the rest to direct purchase, reported the Vice President of the Republic.
The medicine was received at the Mariscal Sucre airport in Quito by the vice president of Ecuador, Alfredo Borrero; the Minister of Health, Ximena Garzón; the Foreign Minister of Ecuador, Mauricio Montalvo; the itinerant Ad Honoren Ambassador, Juan Carlos Holguín and the Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China, Chen Guoyou.
“For the Government of President Guillermo Lasso, today is a special day because two friendly governments, the Chinese and Ecuadorian, come together to combat this disease that has no ideology, that has no flag, or color, the covid-19,” he stressed the vice president.
Regarding the relationship between Ecuador and the People’s Republic of China, Borrero pointed out that it will be deepened, maintained and improved. “We started this government doing things as they should be done,” he concluded.
