Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – The Directorate General of the Gaza Government Media Office issued a report that at least 700 Palestinians in Gaza died as a result of continuous Israeli attacks during the 24 hours since Saturday (2/12/2023).
With this number of casualties, Israel is recorded as having stepped up its attacks on enclaves in Gaza which have been besieged after the end of a week-long ceasefire last Friday. These include the Sheikh Radwan and Nassr neighborhoods.
“An official with the state media office told Al Jazeera that 700 Palestinians had been killed in Israeli attacks over the past 24 hours,” quoted Al Jazeera, Sunday (3/12/2023).
As a result of the continuing Israeli attacks on Gaza, Hamas also stated that prisoner exchange negotiations would not continue until the Israeli attacks on Gaza ended.
Today it was reported that as many as 600 foreign nationals and Palestinians with dual citizenship in Gaza will be allowed to enter Egypt. A list was published by Palestinian border officials containing the names of people allowed out of the besieged enclave.
“More than 300 people on the list are from America and Canada. There are also a number of Germans, Norwegians, Greeks, Turks and Filipinos,” wrote Al Jazeera.
The Rafah border crossing has been opened to nearly 900 foreign nationals and those with dual citizenship since Israel restarted its offensive on Gaza on Friday, according to the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA). Additionally, 13 injured people were allowed to cross into Egypt on Sunday morning.
