Porn actor Ron Jeremy (70), accused of assault, is released from custody and transferred to a private residence in Los Angeles. The measure is taken as a result of Jeremy’s failing health linked to dementia.

The judge in the case ordered an investigation to determine if Jeremy is eligible to be placed under a guardianship order that could place him in a state hospital.
The lawyer Gloria Allred, who works with women’s rights and represents several of the accusers, believes this process can take years, writes Business Insider.
In the meantime, he will neither be in prison nor in hospital.
According to the prosecution, the assaults Jeremy was accused of were committed over a period of 23 years. He pleaded not guilty before being declared insane.
Jeremy has appeared in over 2,000 porn films since his debut in the 1970s.
