As it turned out, the Russian oligarch still has unfrozen real estate in the EU countries, but all of it is registered with other companies.
Journalists from “important stories“we managed to find it thanks to a leak of correspondence between Rotenberg himself and the Evocorp company.
The oligarch has villas and apartments in Monaco, France, Latvia, Spain and Italy.
One of them is a villa in the resort of Porto Cervo (Sardinia, Italy). The official owners are two companies in Cyprus, owned by Arkady and Boris Rotenberg. The villa has about 20 rooms. The price of the villa is 10.4 million euros.
Next to it there are two more villas, which are also owned by the Rotenbergs. However, these villas are already under sanctions and they are frozen.
The second villa is located in Villefranche-sur-Mer (France). Legally belongs to Rotenberg’s mistress Maria Borodunova. She acquired it in 2013 for 4.25 million euros.
Boris Rotenberg owns an equestrian center in France, two villas and an apartment in Eze. On the Cote d’Azur, he acquired an aircraft hangar and two land plots.
Arcadia in Monaco has an apartment in the Sun Tower in the city center and two more apartments in Rome. And not far from the ski resort of Kitzbühel (Austria), he bought a two-story house. It was in this house that local residents have seen Putin’s daughter Maria Vorontsova more than once.
In 2013, the wife of Boris Rotenberg purchased a villa in Spain, which was later transferred to the guard Kozlov. However, this did not stop the Spanish authorities from arresting her.
The Italian authorities managed to freeze the property of the Rotenbergs in the amount of 300 million euros. These include an apartment in Cagliari, a villa in Villasimius, a hotel in Rome and a church in Tarquinia.
