A cocktail bar on a boat or a café in a chapel? Nowhere else do you find bar addresses as original as in New York!

The Frying Pan
‘The Frying Pan is a historic ship that has its ring at Pier 66 on the Hudson River. The exterior of the boat was repaired, but most of the interior remained in its original condition. For me, this is the ideal place to sip a cocktail at the outdoor bar or enjoy a lunch or dinner with a superb view. “

“This coffee bar is located in the chapel of the Church of the Heavenly Rest, between the Guggenheim Museum and the Cooper Hewitt Design Museum, just across from Central Park. Besides their divine coffee, you can enjoy a ‘rainbow bowl’, an ‘avocado smash’ or a ‘salmon brioche’, but I particularly like the matcha latte. “

“My husband discovered Pier I Café while jogging. It is a terrace on the edge of the Hudson River, in the relatively new Riverside Park South. Especially in summer it is a wonderful place to take in the view, participate in a kite festival or one of the many other activities that are organized there. “

“It has been accessible to the public since 2005, much to the delight of New Yorkers, especially in the summer. Governors Island is only a short ferry ride from Manhattan, but it feels like arriving in a other world.

You can walk or cycle there on car-free lanes, bask in one of the many hammocks or have an aperitif by the water. If it weren’t for the phenomenal view of Downtown Manhattan and the Statue of Liberty, you’d almost forget you’re still in New York. “

Apothecary shop or circus tent? An Ottoman palace, perhaps? The decor of the speakeasy pharmacy in Chinatown is anything but minimalist, not to mention the sumptuous diverse and varied shots and the bombastic bands that regularly perform live there.
