7 Russian generals killed in Ukraine, Erdogan will not impose sanctions on Russia

Jakarta

Western countries officials claim seven military generals Russia killed in the military invasion of Ukraine since February 24. President Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan stressed that his country would not impose sanctions on Russia related to the invasion of Ukraine such as the United States (US) and the European Union.

A Western official, who asked not to be named, said that one of the Russian military generals had been killed by his own troops. According to some Western officials, Russia’s heavy military casualties were partly due to communication and logistics problems, which reportedly led a number of senior Russian officers to use unencrypted channels which eventually exposed them to Ukrainian forces.

Meanwhile, Erdogan said he could not let the Turkish people freeze without Russian gas supplies. Erdoan explained that Turkey gets half of its natural gas supply from Russia and is cooperating with Russia on the construction of the country’s first nuclear power plant.
