Like the comments of a Facebook user from Malaysia named Peter Ken. Reporting from AsiaOne (16/06), Peter shared his experience eating at the GS Steam Hot Pot Seafood restaurant, in Penang.
He came with six of his friends, so a total of seven people ate there. They ordered some seafood dishes for dinner.
One of them they ordered a large size mantis shrimp for SGD 95 (Rp 1 million). He also ordered the Set B menu, which contained shrimp, fish balls and various vegetables for SGD 88 (Rp 933,000).

Then they proceeded to order seven scallops for SGD 18 (Rp 191,000), and drinks for a total of SGD 11 (Rp 116,000).
They also charge an additional SGD 8 (Rp 84,000) for fried fish and side dishes. Their total bill reached RM 720 (SGD 230) or around Rp. 2.4 million.
The price is called Peter is unreasonable and too expensive. Until he complained on Facebook, and this story went viral.
Some comments are pros and cons. There are those who think that the price of food there is expensive, but there are also those who think that it is reasonable, because what is served is fresh seafood.

In response to this news, representatives from GS Steam Hot Pot Seafood delivered their statement. According to them, Peter and his friends ordered mantis shrimp which weighed up to 1.25 kg. This price is said to be cheaper than the price in other restaurants.
“The mantis shrimp that we sell are already very cheap. In fact, many visitors have become regular customers, because according to them the price of our food is very cheap,” defended the restaurant.

The restaurant said that it was possible that Peter and his friends did not know the price of mantis shrimp in the market. Meanwhile, for other menus, the restaurant has clearly listed all food prices in the menu book, so it doesn’t lie to visitors at all.
The restaurant said that Peter did not upload the entire chronology when he complained on social media.
“They also ordered two flower crabs, but I forgot to include the price in the bill. Then all drinks are also served in pitchers (water jugs) not in glasses,” concluded the restaurant. GS Steam Hot Pot Seafood.
Peter isn’t the only one complaining about his food bill on social media. Some time ago there were netizens from Malaysia who complained, after eating at a restaurant and ordering white snapper. But the bill reached Rp 4.1 million.
