7 people died from dengue fever in 2022 in Tangerang regency

A total of 1,322 cases hemorrhagic fever dengue fever (DHF) found in Tangerang Regency, Banten. This was announced by the Tangerang district health office throughout 2022.

‘The number of DHF cases from January to December 2022 is 1,322 cases,’ said the Chief of Disease Prevention and Control (P2P) for Tangerang Regency, Dr. Sumihar Sihaloho on Thursday (05/01/2023). in Tangerang, citing Antara.

Of the 1,322 cases, seven died from the bite of the Aedes aegypti mosquito.

“Regarding the number of deaths from January to December 2022, there are seven people with severely ill,” he said.

Sumihar, also mentioned the need for vigilance and preventive management of the spread of DHF during this rainy season in and around Tangerang regency area.

He also said his health team has been going on the field regularly with the community in the local area in an effort to suppress the spread of dengue fever.

“During this rainy season, we appeal to the public to carry out regular activities to eradicate 3M plus mosquito nests (PSN),” he said.

Sumihar further added that his party is strengthening the Jumantik one house one program. So that the development of dengue virus-carrying mosquitoes does not continue to reproduce.

“We also regularly socialize with the community to carry out the activities of moving a house on a Friday and periodic monitoring of the results of the activities by the nearest health center,” she said.

Sumihar reminded, with high rainfall intensity so that people can keep the local environment clean, and the spread of mosquitoes carrying the virus will not spread to many people.

“Routine monitoring increases the number of DHF cases that are routinely reported by hospitals through early warning reporting and hospital responses to be followed immediately in coordination with health centers and the regional apparatus in the management of reported positive DHF cases,” he stated.
