7 new temporary rescue posts OSVOD will appear on the water bodies of the capital, which are prohibited for swimming, reports agency “Minsk-Novosti”.
Vitaly Susha, head of the Minsk City Department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, said that with the onset of summer, one of the main tasks for rescuers is to ensure the safety of people on the water.
“For this, a lot is being done by both the employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations and representatives of OSVOD. To date, there are 3 stationary OSVOD rescue stations and 7 temporary posts on water bodies in Minsk. OSVOD colleagues and I came up with the initiative to create 7 more temporary rescue posts in places where swimming is prohibited,” Susha specified.
City officials supported this idea. OSVOD temporary rescue posts will be located on the territory of three districts of the capital – Leninsky, Partizansky and Central.
“I think this measure will significantly help to protect people in recreation areas near water bodies. Most citizens are well aware of the rules of safe behavior near the water, but some need to be constantly reminded of them,” Susha stressed.
