7 Million Vehicles Have Registered with MyPertamina, So They Can Buy Subsidized Fuel

There are already 7 million vehicles that have registered to buy subsidized fuel such as Pertalite and diesel. Of the total 7 million vehicles, hundreds of thousands were blocked.

The vehicle registration process for users of subsidized diesel fuel and Pertalite is still open. This registration has actually started on December 1 2022. Owners of vehicles that use Pertalite fuel and diesel are asked to register their vehicles on the subsiditepat.mypertamina.id page.

With this registration, vehicle owners will get a QR Code which is used for transactions at gas stations. It is hoped that the distribution of subsidized fuel can be more targeted. Since registration was first opened, it is known that there have been 7,898,648 registered vehicles as stated in the presentation by Pertamina Patra Niaga President Director Riva Siahaan during a hearing with Commission VII of the DPR.

But not all vehicles are accepted during the registration process. Riva said hundreds of thousands of vehicles were blocked due to data discrepancies.

“In the process we carried out, we blocked 228 thousand because it did not include traffic police data, checking Samsat data, then 32 thousand were blocked for several reasons,” explained Riva.

Riva explained that the blocking could not be separated from inappropriate vehicle data at the National Police Traffic Corps. Not only that, there are also vehicles that are indicated to be refilling subsidized fuel repeatedly with different QR Codes. There is also vehicle data that is indicated to be fake.

He revealed that there was a mode using helicopter mode. This mode is used on motorbikes, cars, trucks and tourist buses when buying subsidized fuel.

The perpetrator refills subsidized fuel repeatedly using the same vehicle or in large quantities at once. This misuse means that the distribution of subsidized fuel is not on target.

“Helicopters here are meant to be refueled repeatedly using the same vehicle but using different number plates and QR Codes, so there is indeed falsification or duplication being carried out,” said Riva.
