2,634,895 people have received their booster dose against covid-19, since last November 24, when the Government enabled the application. However, 7 million people have not yet attended the appointment.
The members of stages 1 and 2 of the National Vaccination Plan have been enabled since that date and total more than 9 million people. However, the Minister of Health, Fernando Ruiz, made a call, taking into account that there is a lag and in less than 24 hours the possibility for stage 3 will be enabled.

In a radio interview, the high official stressed that the reinforcement provides greater protection against variants and urged not to stop wearing it, if they belong to the authorized groups.
“We recognize that we are doing well, but we would like this December, where interactions increase, where young people meet with older adults and where the level of contagion increases, that this third vaccination be carried out,” said the minister.
In that sense, he indicated that there are sufficient doses available at the vaccination points of the country.
