Summer is not over and the festivities continue in the country of Dinan, whether at the water’s edge or in the fields. Le Petit Bleu has selected seven ideas for outings to have fun from Saturday August 19 to Sunday August 20, 2023.
A fest-noz on the farm
It’s in Saint-Cast-le-Guildo that it’s happening, at the Ferme des Landes, Saturday August 19 with a
aperitif-concert from 6.30 p.m. with the duo Tony Mac Carthy and Marc Thouénon, who will introduce you to Irish music and songs.
Then, from 8:30 p.m., it’s time for dancing, under the farm shed, where the Lebreton/Bobinet duo, a young electric duo made up of Youn Lebreton on the soprano saxophone and Clément Bobinet on the diatonic accordion, will follow one another. But also the Quéré / Vuidart duo, flute and guitar, who already came in 2016 and finally from the Sterne group, still faithful to the job.
Fest-noz at the Landes farm, in Notre-Dame-du-Guildo. Saturday August 19 from 6:30 p.m. Free admission. Catering on site.

The squares festival at La Vicomté
This is a first for the friends of the carrelets de la Rance, these fishing houses on the banks of the river, many of which are falling into ruin. On Sunday August 20, the members of the Acccr association are organizing a party at the Moulin du Prat site, in La Vicomté-sur-Rance.
Appointment is given from 2 p.m. with various activities: a fishing demonstration in the mill pond and a photo exhibition on this subject, milling and sale of flour at the mill with bread baked on site and stand-up and concerts throughout the afternoon.
Fête des Carrelets, Sunday August 20 at La Vicomté. Snacks on site. Admission: €4 / free under 12 years old. Info: [email protected].

Horse racing on a marine racecourse
An ephemeral racecourse is the sea effect, when the track is discovered on the foreshore, between two tides. In Lancieux, near Dinan, horse racing is only once a year. This year, it will be this Sunday, August 20, 2023, and the Saint-Sieu beach will be transformed for an afternoon into a marine racecourse. First race at 3 p.m. A hundred horses will be present.

An open-air cinema session at the abbey
He was originally supposed to go to Léhon Abbey (Dinan) in June, but the capricious weather had forced the organization, the Café Côté Court Bar’t team, to cancel the event. “Modern Times” by Charlie Chaplin will therefore be broadcast on Sunday August 20 in this same place, at 9:30 p.m. Bring a picnic, folding chairs and equipment that seems appropriate for a session on the big screen outside.
Outdoor cinema at Léhon Abbey on Sunday 20 August. FREE ENTRANCE. Access via the Léhon swimming pool car park. Information: 07 82 58 78 37.

Want to travel while staying in the area? Head to Brazil on Sunday, August 20 at the Test Tube in Saint-André-des-Eaux, with an evening hosted by the Roda samba group. A night like in Rio from 9 p.m., with surdo, pandeiro, guitar, cavaquinho and songs for the opening concert before a jam session open to all afterwards.

Old-fashioned tavern and plowing in Plumaugat
One of the southernmost towns in the country of Dinan, and therefore one of the most rural, goes back in time on Sunday 20 August. At the Plumaugat threshing festival, in addition to the classic entertainment (old crafts, horses, etc.), there will be a guinguette where five music groups will follow one another. A “old-fashioned” regional plowing competition will also see candidates compete with their most beautiful period machines. A festive Sunday in perspective in a pretty corner of the countryside.

At 12:00 p.m. catering, battery meal €15 or fast food. 2 p.m. parade of participants. 6 p.m. parade of old motorized equipment. 6.30 p.m. stew €12. 9 p.m. country ball. Admission €5.
A Sunday in Rochereuil
The site of Rochereuil and its pond, in Sévignac, form an ideal green setting for the craft markets that have taken place since the beginning of summer. It is a novelty that attracts many visitors every week, happy to be able to spend time in the middle of nature while strolling through the stalls of producers and craftsmen.
Without forgetting a musical part, like, on Sunday August 20, the arrival of the group MoonRiver, an instrumental blues formation with funk accents, present at the Langourla jazz springboard this year (from 3 p.m. free participation).
Sévignac, Rochereuil site, every Sunday from 10:30 a.m., program on the Facebook page.
