KPK ransacked the office of members of DPRD DKI Jakarta. This search is related to the investigation into the land acquisition corruption case in Pulogebang, East Jakarta.
The search was carried out by KPK investigators on Tuesday night (17/1) at around 15.30 WIB. The search ended at around 20.56 WIB.
After the search, investigators were seen carrying a number of suitcases. During the search, the building lobby lights up DPRD DKI Jakarta is shut down.

1. Search M Taufik’s workspace
One of the things the KPK searched was the office of DKI DPRD member M Taufik. Information about the search by KPK investigators in M Taufik’s work space was confirmed by a detik.com source within the KPK internal circle.
“One (of those searched in M Taufik’s workspace),” said a detik.com source at the KPK via a written message, Tuesday (17/1).
“Wait for the update tomorrow,” he added.
2. Gerindra Requests Complete Investigation
Chairman of the Honorary Council of the Gerindra Party Habiburokhman spoke about the search of the KPK in the office of DKI Jakarta DPRD member M Taufik in relation to the alleged land acquisition corruption case in Pulogebang, East Jakarta. Habiburokhman emphasized that M Taufik was no longer a Gerindra cadre.
“M Taufik is no longer a Gerindra cadre because he has resigned and been dismissed. Currently we are in the process of processing the PAW concerned,” Habiburokhman told reporters, Wednesday (18/1).
Habiburokhman said that as a people’s representative from East Jakarta, he respects and supports the KPK’s work in eradicating corruption, including the land acquisition corruption case in Pulogebang.
“This corruption case is really very concerning because the land that was procured was actually intended for the construction of zero percent down payment houses for economically weak people who really need housing. This is the second case after the KPK uncovered the Munjul land case which is also located in East Jakarta,” he said.
