7-day incidence: Ghost games in the Bundesliga

In at least eight of the nine Bundesliga stadiums, games are played in front of completely empty stands on the weekend.

Only Hertha BSC is hoping for at least 500 fans for the home game against VfL Wolfsburg on Sunday (6 p.m.), this is still possible according to the current requirements of the Senate. The pre-sale for the game has already stopped.

For the first time this season, the so-called incidence (new corona infections in the past 7 days per 100,000 inhabitants) at all nine top division locations over a weekend is over 35.0, for the most part even significantly. Most recently, spectators were at least partially admitted in the 1st and 2nd Bundesliga with an incidence of less than 35.0.

The highest number of spectators on the Bundesliga weekend could be on Saturday in the 2nd division between Eintracht Braunschweig and 1. FC Nürnberg. Eintracht is currently planning to have 2900 fans.
