Padua – The Insuperabili team won, for the second consecutive year, the Italian title at the end of the 7-CP Experimental Football Championship, a tournament reserved for athletes with brain damage.
The event, which took place over the weekend in Camposampiero, in the province of Padua, saw the Insuperabili triumph thanks to the best goal difference compared to Calcio Veneto.
Three challenges are scheduled. In the first, Calcio Veneto beat SG Lupatoto 4-0, then Insuperabili beat SG Lupatoto 5-0 and, in the last match, Insuperabili and Calcio Veneto drew 1-1.
In addition to the championship matches, in Camposampiero the three teams registered for the championship faced the FIGC representative team. Three matches which, despite not awarding points, offered a great spectacle. These are the results of the three challenges:
Insuperabili vs FIGC Representatives 7-0
Calcio Veneto vs FIGC Representative 4-0
FIGC representative vs SG Lupatoto 1-2
At the end of the tournament, the coach of the 7 CP national football team, Simone Pajaro, commented: “The last match was good, the Unsurpassables did well in terms of play. Calcio Veneto also did well to take advantage of the opportunities there were in the second half. In the end, they drew 1-1: the Insuperabili, after the goal conceded, managed to make a final assault and defend themselves well, so good match.”
He added: “Like last year, everything was decided on goal difference. It means that they are two teams that are growing well, that are always playing for first and second place, so congratulations and honor to the two companies that are working in the area. SG Lupatoto also did well, growing with a lot of young players. Overall, it was a good tournament, we had fun and celebrated the victory of the Insuperabili, deserved and in an intense match. Well done everyone!”
During the awards ceremony, special awards were given to the best players of the tournament. Alessio Pusterla, goalkeeper of SG Lupatoto, was awarded Best Goalkeeper thanks to his extraordinary saves, which saved his team on numerous occasions, demonstrating great skill and tenacity between the posts.
The title of Best Player went to Andrea Valenti of Insuperabili, who stood out for his consistency and teamwork in all matches. Valenti stood out for his commitment on the pitch and for his fair play, proving to be a real driving force and creating numerous playing opportunities with great intensity. His performance was crucial to the success of the Insuperabili.
