For a while it seemed that the corona figures in Suriname were decreasing slightly, but on Tuesday 13 July it became clear that this is not the case at all. In fact, another 7 corona deaths and 131 new cases were recorded.
This is apparent from the update of the figures on Tuesday evening official COVID-19 website of the Surinamese government.
The update shows that the total number of people who have died so far in Suriname as a result of infection with the feared virus has risen to 594 on Tuesday.
462 people were tested on Tuesday, from which the 131 cases emerged. The number of people in hospitals has fallen from 139 to 129.
