7/11 wake-up call: New York Marathon • Verstappen at the GP in Mexico

What can you expect today?

  • In The Hague there is a demonstration against, among other things, the corona admission ticket. The initiator of the protest is Michel Reijinga, who previously also organized the large demonstrations on the Museumplein in Amsterdam.
  • Dutch athlete Abdi Nageeye runs his first marathon in New York after winning the silver medal at the Tokyo Olympics. Will he be the first Dutch winner ever?
  • Max Verstappen will start from third place at the Mexican GP in Mexico City. He starts with 12 points ahead of defending champion Lewis Hamilton.
  • And of course also football: Feyenoord plays against AZ in De Kuip, PSV plays against Fortuna Sittard and Ajax takes on Go Ahead Eagles.

What did you miss?

Just like yesterday, trains are canceled again today because of the shortage of traffic controllers, but also because of problems on the track. The problems affect routes in the center of the country. Until 3 p.m. there are no trains between Utrecht and Arnhem and between Utrecht and Rhenen.
