We will have to wait a little for a longer period. The launch of the 6th Chartres Montgolfiade, scheduled for Friday 9 September, has been postponed thanks to lousy weather conditions.
The initially balloon take-offs ended up to begin with scheduled for 6:30 pm this Friday from the Chartres airfield site, but inevitably the balloons will continue being on the ground.

“There will be no flights tonight. The temperature disorders are not very good. There is way too much wind and instability,” points out the organizer of the event, Sébastien Mary.
The celebration, which will operate right up until Sunday 11 September, could start out on Saturday 10 September, but nothing at all has been determined nonetheless. “For now, it is unsure. We count on to get the temperature report tomorrow early morning to obtain out if the balloons will just take off at 7:15 or fewer,” adds Sébastien Mary.
