The pandemic continues its upward trend in Menorca. During the weekend, they have registered 69 positives, which increases the total of active cases up to 229, a figure that had not been recorded since last August 22.
Specifically, 39 cases were diagnosed on Saturday, 28 on Sunday and 2 this Monday, as reported by the Menorca Health Area.
One of the new infections has entered the Internal Medicine ward of the Mateu Orfila Hospital in Maó, while another corresponds to a health professional who is being monitored by Occupational Health.
On the other hand, a positive at the Center for the Promotion of Autonomy of the Consell in Maó, which will remain closed pending the result of the PCR tests.
During the weekend, 7 patients have been discharged, one who was admitted to the Internal Medicine ward and another six who were under home monitoring by the UVAC teams.
In this way, it is Monday three people remain hospitalized, one of them in the Intensive Care Unit (UCI).
Finally, the Menorca Health Area has indicated that a positive person is staying at the Sa Mirada hotel, in the Arenal d’en Castell urbanization.
Incidence
All these data are reflected in the cumulative incidence figure, which continues its upward rebound. The 14-day period is found in 222.7 cases, a figure that had not been registered since the end of August. Similarly, that of 7 days is at 145.3.
Vaccination
On the other hand, the total number of people vaccinated with one dose is 71,456, 83.8% of the target population; while 70,218, 82.4% have the complete pattern.
So far 133,695 doses of the vaccine have been administered in Menorca.
