If many people say that Asian women stay young, then this one is far beyond reason. In the film Ice Sniper 2 which was shown on video platforms such as iQiyi and Tencent on July 8, 68-year-old Liu Xiaoqing played the character Dan Niang, a 17-year-old teenage girl.
I don’t know what was in the mind of the director and cast director who chose the actress to play a character who is almost a quarter of her actual age in real life. Even with the visual effects and charming makeup, of course, this is still enough to make many people frown.
Netizens didn’t seem to care about Liu Xiaoqing’s appearance, which looked much younger than her actual age, they instead called her the ‘grandmother who became a young girl’.

Not only that, the sensation created by director Zhao Ruiyong, Sun Tianhe and Yuan Guangan for the film. They also cast actors to play her father and husband who is 20 years younger than Liu Xiaoqing
“A 71-year-old girl (played in a role) with her 53-year-old father and married a 52-year-old man, this is really outrageous. Please senior actors play roles according to your age,” netizens wrote.
“When an actress who is almost 70 years old with fake teeth and face, shouldering a younger actor as ‘Dad’ is really annoying. Is this film just to launder money?” other netizens quipped.
Ice Sniper 2 is a film adaptation of a historical event that is often used as a drama titled Suppress Bandits In Northeast. The story tells of a guerrilla army led by a sniper named Yang Jianfeng who tried to get rid of the Kuomintang and Japanese troops after the nine-month battle between the Communists and Nationalists for control over Siping or what is known as the Siping Campaign in 1947.
