The 66th Vienna Opera Ball in New York was all about love.

On Friday, the 66th Vienna Opera Ball took place in New York under the sign of love.
According to the organizers, this year’s motto “A Night of Love” is a message of peace. Silvia Frieser and Daniel Serafin opened the comeback of the ball, which as “an ambassador of Austrian charm has a permanent place in the calendar of New York society”.

Ukrainian opera singer Iurii Samoilov sang his native country’s most popular song before making his debut at the New York Met. Also present: Carolina López Moreno, Donata D’Annunzio Lombardi or Matthew White, Nadine Sierra and Johanna Will. “The first Viennese ball after a two-year break from the pandemic connects our cities even more closely and is characterized by a shared love of culture,” emphasized Ernst Woller (SPÖ), President of the State Parliament of Vienna.

Taking the gala supports Caritas-Aid for Ukraine
In addition to the Caritas aid for Ukraine, the income from the gala will support music therapy at the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in cooperation with the Gabrielle’s Angel Foundation for Cancer Research in the tried and tested manner.
