63 people evacuated after a trash fire

A rubbish fire, the origin of which is unknown, broke out in one of the cellars of a building located at 26 rue Garcia-Lorca in Saint-Martin-d’Hères and caused a significant release of smoke in the parts communities of the five-storey building, around 9 p.m. Sunday 10 January.

The firefighters evacuated the 63 occupants present, 16 of whom were sheltered in a nearby gymnasium, the time to inspect the premises, and two people with asthma, aged in their thirties and sixties. years, were examined but their state of health did not require transport to hospital.

Once the fire had been extinguished and the premises ventilated, all were able to return to their homes safely, no injuries being to be deplored and no relocation envisaged.
