A 62-year-old, who is said to have racially insulted several people in Reinickendorf yesterday evening, then offered resistance when he was arrested.
At around 6:20 p.m., a witness alerted the police in General-Barby-Strasse and stated that a man had first racially insulted two elderly gentlemen and then insulted them himself. When the officers asked the suspect to identify himself, the suspect refused, immediately reacted aggressively, began to insult them and allegedly made a backward movement for the blow, whereupon a police officer grabbed his arm. The 62-year-old continued to resist, so the police eventually brought him to the ground and handcuffed him. The man refused to perform a breath alcohol test and continued to insult the officers. Blood was drawn in a police custody and then allowed to continue on his way.
The investigation into insult and resistance continues.
