According to the social authorities, 61 new corona cases were registered in Hamburg on Wednesday. That is twelve new infections more than a week ago and eight more cases than on Tuesday.
According to the social welfare authority, a total of 76,738 people in the Hanseatic city have tested positive for the corona virus since the beginning of the pandemic. According to estimates by the Robert Koch Institute (RKI), around 73,800 people in Hamburg can now be considered recovered.
Incidence value at 18.4
The number of new infections per 100,000 inhabitants in the past seven days rose slightly to 18.4 within one day. On Tuesday, the incidence value fell below a value of 20 for the first time since September and was 17.8. A week ago it was 23.7.
Five more deaths
According to the social welfare authority, 65 corona patients are treated in Hamburg’s hospitals, 34 of whom are cared for in intensive care units. According to the RKI, 1,578 people have died in connection with Covid 19 in the Hanseatic city since the beginning of the pandemic. There were five more deaths.
