In celebration of Labor Day, the local government of Bulacan and the Department of Labor and Employment Region III (DOLE-R3) offered nearly 6,000 job openings at SM malls in San Jose Del Monte and Marilao, Bulacan. Job seekers flocked to the event center of SM City Marilao, where 46 employers from various industries such as retail, food and beverage, manufacturing, healthcare, finance, and hospitality participated in the job fair. Companies such as Sterling, Moldex, and Manila Doctors Hospital offered a total of 2,846 job opportunities. The event was spearheaded by DOLE R-3 and the Public Employment Service Office (PESO) to support fresh graduates and those who have been displaced from their jobs due to the Covid-19 pandemic. SM City San Jose Del Monte was also a venue for job seekers, where 34 employers participated, offering 3,016 opportunities in healthcare, retail, and construction. The event provided practical on-site solutions such as free resume printing services and counseling, as well as various government services such as Pag-ibig, SSS, and PhilHealth to fast-track job seekers’ possible employment. The Department of Labor and Employment in Bulacan recognized the challenges that job seekers face in today’s competitive job market, and aims to aid and support them to land their desired position.
