During searches in two homes in Rotterdam, 600 kilos of cocaine and almost 2 million euros in cash were seized last week. The police has arrested four people without a permanent residence or residence.
The police received tips about the possible storage of drugs in a house on Strevelsweg. During observations, the officers regularly saw men with large bags walking in and out of the house. These men were also followed to a house on the Lange Hilleweg.
On the night of Saturday 7 to Sunday 8 November, the police raided both houses. In addition, 300 kilos of cocaine was found in the house on the Lange Hilleweg. In the apartment on Strevelsweg, in addition to 300 kilos of cocaine, a firearm and ammunition were also seized. The hundreds of kilos of cocaine have a street value of between 18 and 24 million euros, according to the police.
A car possibly linked to the drug trade led the investigative service to a third home in the city on Wednesday, where a man and a woman were counting money. The police seized almost 2 million euros there. The 36-year-old man and 59-year-old woman have been arrested.
No one was registered at the three addresses. The police are warning against these kind of haunted houses being rented out through an unreliable rental agent who takes cash and does not keep full records.
