The Golliet funeral directors located in Annecy and Pringy have just celebrated 60 years of existence. It was during an evening bringing together many members of the Golliet family and many employees of the company that a tribute was paid to Simone and Georges Golliet, the founders of this company which has become over the years years a real institution, not only in the Annecy region, but also throughout the department and even at the national level. Indeed, Chantal, Pascal’s sister, was for many years vice-president of the French Federation of Funeral Directors.

It was in 1963, in the family home in Saint-Jorioz, that Georges and Simone Golliet began to receive families and organize funerals. Then they bought a store in Annecy, rue du Parmelan where the Pompes Funèbres agency is still located today. They then completed their activity by taking over a marble factory which they would subsequently install in the town of Pringy. Their entire life has been dedicated to others thanks to constant availability and professionalism.
They passed on their passion for this difficult but very human profession to their children Chantal and Pascal who, following in their parents’ footsteps, managed to develop and modernize the company through courage and a lot of work in the service of others.
