A female teacher told police at the hospital that the boy pulled a gun out of his pocket and pointed it at him, prompting him to ask, “What are you going to do with it?”
After the boy stopped moving, “I shot once, and the bullet hit the female teacher’s left hand and upper body.” The teacher fled from the classroom into the office.

A lawyer for the boy’s family told CNN on Tuesday, “This kid had a huge emotional problem and we are all working hard to get him better.” The boy is currently undergoing therapy and is showing improvement.
The documents disclosed also describe an incident in which a boy strangled another teacher when he was in kindergarten. The boy allegedly approached a female teacher sitting in her chair from behind, put her hands around her neck, pulled her down, and strangled her until she could not breathe.
