6 tips so that your card is not cloned

The cloning of your credit or debit card can be achieved through a modality of fraud known as skimming, warns the National Commission for the Protection and Defense of Users of Financial Services (Condusef), so it is important that you know the modus operandi for this type of deception and can avoid being victim.

Running out of funds, noticing a drop in your balance or some unrecognized charge, are the main signs that you have been victim of the skimming.

In case your card has been cloned, you should immediately contact your bank to cancel the plastic; in the second instance you must file a complaint for unrecognized charges, for which it will be helpful to remember details such as the total balance, as well as the date, time and place where you used your card for the last time.
