1- Avoid sharing your toothbrush with others.
2- Place the brush longitudinally after cleaning it; To speed up its drying.
3- It is recommended to change it every three or four months.
4- Keep the brush head away from other brushes. To avoid the transmission of bacteria.
5- Wash the toothbrush well with water after finishing.
6- Avoid covering the brush unnecessarily, to avoid bacterial growth.
Symptoms of tooth decay
Al Noor Specialized Hospital said, via the X platform, that the symptoms of tooth decay include the following:
1- Constant pain that prevents you from sleeping, or severe pain for no apparent reason.
2- Teeth sensitivity to cold or hot drinks.
3- The appearance of gray, brown, or black spots on the tooth.
4- Pus around the teeth, especially when pressing on the gums.
Tips for maintaining dental health
Riyadh Health Ministry also noted earlier, through its account on the X platform, that dental health and safety must be ensured through the following:
1- Obtain a comprehensive assessment of your oral and dental health.
2- Ensure that the tools used in examination and treatment are sterilized and that paper cups, tissues, etc. are not used.
3- Receive education about oral and dental health and what meets the patient’s specific needs.
4- Treatment for emergency cases during clinic hours, with priority given to relieving pain and swelling.
5- Request all preventive measures against X-rays, such as wearing lead condoms and thyroid protectants.
6- Knowing the treatment plan followed and the expected number of sessions.
