JAKARTA – WhatsApp allows users to share photos, videos, text, to GIFs via the Status feature. Later, it will automatically disappear within 24 hours.
Quoted from India Today, Tuesday (31/5/2022), this feature gives users the power to set who can see WhatsApp status.
This means that a user can set the Status feature on WhatsApp so that it can only be seen by closest friends.
In order to limit who contacts can see WhatsApp Status, here are the steps:
1. First of all open the WhatsApp application
2. Then click the three-dot icon at the top right and select settings
3. Then select the account and click privacy
4. After that select the status
5. From there the user will be faced with three choices namely “My Contacts”, “My Box, except”, and “Shared only with”
6. Choose what the user wants
When you select “My Contacts” then all your WhatsApp contacts can see the created status.
Then, when the choice is “My Contacts, Except” then the user can choose some people who cannot see WhatsApp status.
Then, when “Shared Only With” the user can choose several people who can see the status, for example parents, close friends, and spouses.
