6 Scientific Facts Contained in the Koran, What are they? : Okezone techno

JAKARTAAl-Qur’an not only as a miracle of the Prophet Muhammad SAW, but as a guide to life for Muslims and not only in terms of religion, but also science.

Summarized from YouTube Facts Data, Monday (28/2/2022), although it was revealed thousands of years ago, the Koran actually explains many scientific phenomena.

This is proven when a number of scientific theories are found and then matched with a number of verses of the Koran, it turns out that both of them have a match where there are not only one or two discoveries, but many.

The following is a summary of six scientific facts related to life that have been described in the Qur’an.

1. Origin of Life

Long before the ancient philosophers mentioned that water is the origin of life and scientific researchers discovered the fact that 70% of the cells of the body of living things are composed of water, the Qur’an has already explained how water is one of the origins of life. This is as stated in Surah Al Anbiya verse 30:

اَوَلَمْ يَرَ الَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوْٓا َّنَّ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالْاَرْضَ كَانَتَا رَتْقًا فَفَتَقْنُمَا َُل

Meaning: And do the disbelievers not know that the heavens and the earth were formerly one, then We separated them; and We made every living thing out of water; then why do they not believe?”

2. Iron Comes Down from Heaven

It took scientists years to believe that iron did not come from the bowels or the interior of the earth. Modern research conducted by Dr. Frosch as a scientist from NASA (United States Astronomy Institute) finally revealed through laboratory tests that the earth does not produce iron.

Thus, it is certain that iron was likely sent down from the sky. And this is also in accordance with the explanation in the Qur’an Surah Al Hadid verse 25 below:

وَاَنْزَلْنَا الْحَدِيْدَ فِيْهِ بَأْسٌ شَدِيْدٌ وَّمَنَافِعُ لِلنَّاس

Meaning: And We created iron that has strength, greatness and many benefits for mankind.

The scientific explanation of the verse is the Supernova phenomenon or the explosion of stars that fall to earth and become a hard and strong metal.

3. Sky as the Protector of the Earth

Most human beings certainly already understand how important the existence of the sky is for the earth, from maintaining temperature and temperature to being the ‘defense’ of the earth from foreign objects in outer space when they enter the earth.

Clearly and clearly Allah SWT has explained it through HIS words in the following QS Al Anbiya verse 32:

وَجَعَلْنَا السََّّمَاءۤ سَقْفًا مَّحْفُوْظًا وَهُمْ عَنْ اٰيٰتِهَا مُعْرِضُوْنَ

Meaning: And We made the sky a protected roof, but they turned away from the signs (the greatness of God) (sun, moon, wind, clouds, etc.).

4. The Existence of Mountains as Earth Pegs

The mountains on earth not only make the panorama of our beloved planet beautiful, but the mountains also become a kind of earth peg that makes the land where humans live in balance.

Science has explained it where Professor Emeritus Frank Press put forward a theory in a book entitled ‘Earth’ that mountains have roots beneath them that are so deeply embedded in the earth that mountains become a kind of earth peg. This finding is also in line with the following Qur’an letter An Naba verses 6-7:

اَلَمْ نَجْعَلِ الْاَرْضَ مِهٰدًا وَّالْجِبَالَ اَوْتَاد

Meaning: Have We not made the earth as a stretch, and the mountains as pegs?

5. Orbit of the Sun.

In the past, science believed that the sun did not rotate and the planets around it, including the earth, revolved around it.

This fact was put forward by Nicholas Copernicus and continued to persist until finally modern scientists revealed the latest findings that the sun also turned out to move around like other planets.

And again, long before scientists discovered it, the Qur’an had first explained it in Surat Al Anbiya Verse 33 which clearly explains the following:

وَهُوَ الَّذِيْ خَلَقَ الَّيْلَ وَلنَّهَارَ وَالشَّمْسَ وَالْقَمَرَۗ كُلٌّ فِيْ فَلَكٍ يَّسْبَحُوْنَ

Meaning: And it is He Who created the night and the day, the sun and the moon. Each circulates in its orbit.

6. Pain Depends on the Skin

All humans certainly know what pain is, but the scientific explanation for the existence of pain has only been known recently where it turns out that pain itself comes from the skin and not from the brain.

Science explains that our skin has special nerves as pain receptors. This finding is also in line with the following Al-Qur’an Surah An-Nisa verse 56:

In itzwined Zafar Zamadata allegacions, Allah does Employment Aljazda Albridu Xjaz’s Messenger in Goddmabaz.

Which means: Indeed, those who disbelieve in Our revelations, We will cast them into hell. Whenever their skins are scorched, We replace them with other skins, that they may taste the torment.

The verse can be understood that it is the skin that causes the pain itself with the parable of the mechanism of punishment carried out by Him.
