6 Palestinians were killed by Israeli army gunfire in the West Bank

Six Palestinians were killed on Saturday by Israeli army gunfire in the occupied West Bank, four of them in Jenin, one in the town of Qabatiya in the north of the West Bank, and another in Al-Bireh in the south, according to what the Palestinian Ministry of Health announced.

The Ministry of Health reported that “Doctor Shamikh Kamal Abu Al-Rub (25 years old) was martyred by occupation bullets in the town of Qabatiya.”

Palestinian Health Minister Mai Alkaila mourned Abu Al-Rub, “who was martyred by Israeli occupation forces’ bullets during their aggression against the town of Qabatiya on Saturday morning,” noting that his brother was injured.

Four Palestinians were also killed by Israeli army fire in Jenin during an incursion with armored vehicles into the city, which recently witnessed the most violent Israeli operation in the West Bank in nearly 20 years (14 dead), according to the United Nations.

Eyewitnesses said, “A large force of the Israeli army stormed the city of Jenin on Saturday evening, accompanied by a military bulldozer, and deployed its snipers on the roofs of buildings and the outskirts of the Jenin camp, and violent armed clashes took place.”

Witnesses spoke of “a heavy army presence around Jenin Governmental Hospital and Ibn Sina Hospital. The army surrounds the two hospitals, searches ambulances, and obstructs the work of medical teams.”

According to the same sources, marches are flying intensely in the airspace of Jenin.

The Jenin Brigade, which includes various Palestinian factions, announced that its fighters were “engaged in violent armed clashes with the occupation forces penetrating the vicinity of the camp.”

The Palestinian Ministry of Health also confirmed that four people were injured in the Israeli army’s storming of Jenin.

The Ministry also announced the killing of the boy, Muhammad Riad Saleh (16 years old), in the city of Al-Bireh.

In addition, the Ministry and the Red Crescent Society reported that “17 Palestinians were injured by Israeli army bullets in various places in the West Bank,” including a critical injury in the city of Dura in the south of the West Bank.

The West Bank, which has been occupied by Israel since 1967, has witnessed an escalation in tensions since the outbreak of war between the Hebrew state and Hamas in the Gaza Strip on October 7.

Since that date, more than 230 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli army and settler fire in various areas of the West Bank, and more than 2,950 have been injured, according to statistics from the Palestinian Ministry of Health.
