6 Hours of Search, Child Victim of Nyemplung Car in Kalimalang Found Dead

The combined SAR team has found Nabila (3), the child victim of the car nyemplung in Kalimalang, Bekasi City. Unfortunately, the victim was found dead.

“For this search we did from morning until noon but the results have not been found and we will see again from noon until thank God at 13.45 WIB the victim was found,” said Team Commander 2 of the Jakarta SAR Office Cahyadi Ari told reporters at the location on Friday (10/7 / 2020).

The joint team consisting of the Basarnas, the Bekasi City Disaster Management Agency (BPBD), and the Bekasi City Tagana plunged directly in the search process until the evacuation of Nabila.

The search process is carried out for 6 hours starting at 08.00 WIB. The body was found at 13.45 WIB, to be exact at the PDAM water gate in the Kalimalang river area, Bekasi.

“Found in the PDAM near the Lamiri bridge it is approximately 1-1.5 km (from the initial location of the car nyemplung), “Cahyadi said.

Ari said the victim’s body was found stuck at the edge of the floodgates. The body was immediately evacuated and taken to the Bekasi City Hospital.

“For the condition of the victim at that time he was caught on the edge and in the condition of a deceased. There is no injury to no. Later can be removedcrosscheck in Bekasi Regional Hospital, “he said.

Ari found no obstacles during the process of evacuating the bodies. Meanwhile, obstacles were encountered during the search process due to the swift flow of the Kalimalang river and the difficulty of boats accessing the water entrance.

“For the evacuation process only briefly, because he was on the edge. He was above so it is not difficult for us to evacuate,” said Ari.

“Yes, for the first, the first obstacle is the current, the second is the visibility below, we don’t know for the times, then there are several obstacles, one of which is on the bridge, which indeed the boat cannot penetrate until the PDAM has to be lifted and shear again, then we can get to the the point of discovery, “he continued.

With the discovery of the victim, the search was declared complete. The victim’s body has now been taken to the Bekasi District Hospital.

Reported earlier, the Toyota Innova car splashed in Kalimalang, Friday (10/7) early this morning. It is known that this car is being boarded by a cleric named Samsiah and his two children Nabila (3) and Marifatul (10).

The driver, Sutaryo (26), allegedly sleepy, causing the car being driven nyemplung to the river at Kalimalang, Bekasi. As a result of this incident, Samsiah passed away.

While Marifatul and Sutaryo survived. But at that time, another Samsiah daughter named Nabila was lost in the river.
