With five smartphones (supposedly) on the menu for 2020, Apple will have to brainstorm to distinguish the different models. Okay, for theiPhone 9 with its LCD screen and its Touch ID button, no problem, it is certain to stand out. But the rest of the range would include four devices equipped with OLED screens and Face ID.
To differentiate this smala, the manufacturer will play on screen sizes of course, with a 5.4 inch iPhone, two 6.1 inch and a model “Max” of 6.7 inches. If full 5G (millimeter waves and frequencies below 6 GHz) should be on the menu of these four devices, not all will be housed in the same boat for the number of photo sensors on the back: two modules for the 5.4 and 6.1 inches, three modules plus a time-of-flight sensor for the 6.1 and 6, 7 inches (probably “Pro” models).
Apple could also play the memory card. UBS analysts Timothy Arcuri and Munjal Shah estimate that the two iPhones with dual photo sensors will be content with 4 GB of RAM. Both Pro will be offered 6 GB. So 2 GB more than the iPhone 11 Pro and 11 Pro Max. This figure is not new, the Barclays colleagues had already predicted such an endowment for the iPhone 12 Pro.
