VIVA – Six followers of Rizieq Shihab died in a shootout with members of the Metro Jaya Regional Police on the Cikampek Toll Road, Karawang, West Java.
The six followers of the FPI leadership had to be shot dead for attacking the police with pistols and sharp weapons.
“Members who were threatened for their safety because they were attacked then took decisive measures, so that 10 people suspected of being followers of MRS (Muhamad Rizieq Shihab) died,” said Head of Polda Metro Jaya, Inspector General Pol Fadil Imran.
According to Inspector General Pol Fadil, Rizieq’s followers were members of the FPI special army. These are the ones who have always prevented police checks of their lord.
Interestingly, in this case parties military Indonesian national army (TNI) showed solidity with the Police.
This is evidenced by the full support provided by the TNI through the Commander of the Jaya / Jayakarta Military Regional Command (Kodam), Major General TNI Dudung Abdurachman to Inspector General Pol Fadil.
The Kodam Jaya commander was even present at Polda Metro Jaya Headquarters, when Inspector General Pol Fadil issued an official statement regarding the prosecution of Rizieq Shihab’s followers.
Instead, it was reported VIVA Military, Tuesday, December 8, 2020, as a form of law enforcement support for the FPI Rizieq followers, the TNI General with two gold stars stated that the TNI is ready to provide troop assistance, in order to create security and order in society.
“In principle, the Kodam Jaya, in accordance with the regulated law, will provide assistance for social security and law enforcement. As already stated by the Regional Police Chief, and the Regional Military Command, they will fully support the activities carried out by Polda Metro Jaya. We will enforce the applicable legal provisions together with Polda Metro Jaya, “said Maj. Gen. Dudung.
Meanwhile, apart from coming to Polda Metro Jaya, the TNI also provided security assistance to the Kramatjati Police Hospital to the police regarding the 6 bodies of Rizieq’s followers who were evacuated to the hospital.
