The April 11 demonstration in front of the Indonesian House of Representatives ended in chaos. Ade Armando became the victim of a beating in the middle of the demonstration.
Ade Armando did participate in the April 11 demonstration at the DPR complex. He rejected Jokowi for 3 terms.
Ade Armando admitted that he had no intention of participating in demonstrations with students. However, he supports the aspirations of BEM SI who rejects the discourse of postponing the 2024 election and extending the presidential term.
But as the demo goes on, Ade Armando attacked by the masses. Ade Armando was seen wearing a black T-shirt with the words ‘Indonesian Movement for All’ written on it.
He was seen not wearing pants after being beaten. In the circulating photo, Ade Armando’s nose is seen bleeding and his eyes are swollen. A number of police officers were seen holding Ade Armando.

Attacked by Fellow Demonstrators
Police said that Ade Armando was beaten by a fellow demonstrator in front of the DPR RI, Central Jakarta. The Head of Public Relations of the Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Zulpan said Ade Armando was battered by the incident. Ade Armando’s pants were stripped by the masses.
“It is true that Ade Armando was beaten during the demonstration. The first one he hit was not an officer, but by a fellow mass of action,” Zulpan said when contacted by detikcom, Monday (11/4/2022).
“Our police steps to help him. As a result of the beating he was seriously injured, then his pants were taken off,” he added.
Ade Armando was then secured into the DPR area. Ade Armando received treatment from the medical team.
