Lindsey Pearlman, a TV actress who appeared on General Hospital and Chicago Justice, was found dead Friday, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
The sad news appeared on the LAPD website which stated that the 43-year-old actress was thought to have died of a heart attack.
“Today at approximately 8:30 a.m., Hollywood Area officers responded to a radio call to investigate the deaths at Franklin Avenue and North Sierra Bonita Avenue. The LA Police Department has confirmed that the body is that of Lindsey Erin Pearlman. The cause of death will be determined by the coroner,” it wrote. announcements on the site.
Pearlman was previously reported missing by family and friends. According to the LAPD website, he was last seen on February 13 at 12 p.m. on block 1600 N. Mariposa Ave. in Los Angeles.
The Chicago-born actress has appeared in several television shows since 2015, including Empire, Chicago Justice, Sneaky Pete, American Housewife, General Hospital, Selena: The Series and The Ms. Pat Show.
Recently, Pearlman was lined up to play the role of Karen in Vicious, a show that airs on Urbanflix.
According to her IMDb bio, she is a graduate of the Second City Conservatory and received the Joseph Jefferson Award for an actress in the lead role, for her work in the drama Never the Bridesmaid.
Pearlman’s husband, Vance Smith, wrote on Instagram how devastated he was at the news.
“Police found Lindsey. She’s gone. I’m devastated. I’ll share more later but I want to thank everyone for their love and efforts and ask you to respect her family’s privacy at this time,” she wrote.
The family also chose not to give a response or explanation regarding Lindsey Pearlman’s death to the media.
